Flair

About This Project

Health has been such an important topic to me for many years, all the way back from when I was in elementary school. Throughout the years I started learning about autoimmune diseases and how many different kinds exist globally (fun fact: it’s more than 80). That being said, for my senior thesis project I decided to create a jewelry brand called Flair that gives users with autoimmune diseases another option to look after their condition and be notified of any major changes that can cause them to become ill. Flair has a double meaning to it; “flair” is a term for jewelry, and “flare” is a term used for individuals with autoimmune conditions that have a sudden wave of symptoms (called a flare-up). This piece contains a welcome box with the essentials: the bracelet, a welcome card with common symptoms and triggers listed on the back, management tips, and the bracelet’s charger. The bracelet connects to an app for the user to view their levels in real time.
